What it is
The GOAT A2000 LiDAR PRO is ECOVACS’ mid-size LiDAR mower in the US A-series. It maps the lawn with the same HoloScope 360 Dual-LiDAR system as the larger A3000: a 360° rotating LiDAR plus a 3D time-of-flight LiDAR, with an AI camera (AIVI 3D) for obstacle recognition. A TruEdge string trimmer is built in for edges. The US instruction manual lists the model number as MR2507C and the working capacity as 2,000 m² (1/2 acre). At 1 acre = 4,046.86 m², that is 0.494 acre, and this listing uses ECOVACS’ 1/2-acre figure. Store SKU is GA2000LP (UPC 850077202339).
Setup: No perimeter wire, RTK antenna, or RTK reference station in the box. Mapping is automatic, or you drive the mower around the edge with the app’s remote control. The charging station needs strong 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi coverage and a flat, open spot, according to the shared A2000/A3000 US manual.
In the box (US product-page Inbox / spec table): the mower with 6 blades and screws pre-installed, a lens cover, and 3 m of trimmer line; a trimmer module, trimmer screws, and trimmer brush (2 pcs) to install; charging station with a 10 m power cable, charging-station pile, 8 fastening nails, power adapter, and Allen key; spare blade kit (12 blades + 12 screws) and a spare 3 m trimmer line; quick start guide and manual.
This is the smaller sibling of the listed ecovacs-goat-a3000-lidar-pro, not a renamed twin. Both share the 32 V dual-disc platform, TruEdge, HoloScope LiDAR, 50% / 20% slope pair, and IPX6 body. The hard differences are coverage (A2000 1/2 acre / 2,000 m² vs A3000 3/4 acre / 3,000 m²), battery (3,000 mAh / 3.0 Ah and about 50 min mowing per charge vs 7,500 mAh / 7.5 Ah and 160 min), charge time (50±5 min vs 70±5 min), weight (39.24 lb vs 40.34 lb), model number (MR2507C vs MR2507G), and price ($1,452 promo / $1,999.99 origin on 30 Sep 2026 vs the A3000’s $2,499.99 list in that listing). Cutting width is the same dual-disc setup: the A2000 page spec table lists 12.96 in; the shared manual lists 33 cm (13.0”) for both.
Who it’s for
Owners of suburban lawns up to about half an acre who want edges trimmed without a handheld string trimmer and do not want to mount an RTK antenna. LiDAR mapping does not depend on a clear view of the sky, so it suits lawns shaded by trees or buildings. Look elsewhere if the lawn is larger than 1/2 acre (step up to the ecovacs-goat-a3000-lidar-pro at 3/4 acre), if the mowing area includes slopes above 50%, or if your virtual boundary runs along a bank steeper than 20%. ECOVACS does not publish a drive type (such as AWD or RWD) for this SKU.
Standout details
- Coverage: 2,000 m² (1/2 acre), from the US instruction manual. The product page’s spec table does not list a working area. Page copy calls it suitable for “large lawns.”
- Navigation: The spec table lists navigation as Multiline LiDAR and obstacle avoidance as 3D ToF + AI Camera + Multiline LiDAR. ECOVACS claims 2 cm mapping precision, operation in the dark, avoidance of 200+ obstacle types (including hedgehogs), and stable avoidance at 1.97 in from an obstacle.
- Slope and terrain: Maximum work-area slope 50% (27°). Maximum virtual-boundary slope 20%. Barrier crossing is given as 4 cm (1.2 in in Key Features). Narrow passages must be 2.95 ft / 0.9 m wide. ECOVACS does not publish a drive type for this SKU.
- Cut: 12.96 in cutting width on the page spec table (manual: 33 cm / 13.0”), dual blade discs at 3,000 rpm. Electric height 1.18–3.54 in; the spec table shows a (0.28) step, while Key Features copy says 0.39 in increments. Mowing efficiency is about 2,691–4,306 sq ft/h (page), with marketing also citing up to 400 m²/h.
- TruEdge trimmer: 7.09 in trimming width, 8,500 rpm head, and 118.11 in of trimmer line. The spec table rates blade edge mowing at 1.97 in, blade cross-boundary mowing at 0 in, and trimmer mowing at “~0 in”.
- Power: 32 V energetic platform (page Energy Platform; battery section of the manual rates the pack at 32.4 V / 3,000 mAh). 50 min mowing per charge and 50 min charging time on the page spec table (manual charging time 50±5 min). Output of the A2000 supply unit is 3 A.
- Build: 39.24 lb mower, IPX6 mower and IPX4 station, plus lift, collision, and rain sensors. Body noise is 62 dB(A) and trimmer noise 82 dB(A) (sound power; the manual gives sound pressure as 54 and 74 dB(A)). Dimensions excluding the trimmer brush are 2.23 × 1.77 × 1.10 ft on the page (manual: 680 × 540 × 336 mm / 26.8 × 21.3 × 13.2 in).
- Connectivity: Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Cellular / GNSS appear in the manual as purchased options; the US store sells a GOAT Cellular Module Pro separately for A-series models.
Page / manual conflicts: Cutting width is 12.96 in on the page spec table and 13.0” in the manual — this listing uses the page figure in frontmatter and notes both. Cutting height is 1.18–3.54 in on the page vs 3–9 cm (1.2–3.6 in) in the manual; the page step size is listed as (0.28) in the table and 0.39 in in Key Features. The manual’s Basic Information block also shows a 37.8 V rated voltage for the platform while the battery section and page Energy Platform use 32.4 V / 32 V — this listing follows the page Energy Platform and the battery section. Spec table values win over marketing copy where they conflict.

Honest verdict
For a half-acre lawn that needs edges trimmed, this is the A-series LiDAR package without stepping up to the A3000’s price or battery. It maps with dual LiDAR, needs no RTK station or wire, is rated IPX6, and trims edges automatically. The published limits are coverage (1/2 acre), a 20% virtual-boundary slope, a ~50-minute runtime on the 3.0 Ah pack, and a trimmer that runs at 82 dB(A). Against the listed ecovacs-goat-a3000-lidar-pro you give up 1/4 acre of rating and most of the battery (3.0 Ah / ~50 min vs 7.5 Ah / 160 min) for a cart price of $1,452 on 30 Sep 2026 versus that listing’s $2,499.99. Against the smaller listed ecovacs-goat-o1000-lidar-pro ($1,499.99, 1/4 acre, 18 V, 8.66 in cut) this is the wider dual-disc 32 V machine with twice the rated area. If the lawn is closer to three-quarters of an acre, the A3000 is the matching sibling; if it is a quarter acre, the O1000 is the closer fit on coverage.
