What it is
The GOAT O1000 LiDAR PRO is ECOVACS’ small-lawn LiDAR mower in the US. It maps the lawn with the same HoloScope 360 Dual-LiDAR system ECOVACS uses on the A-series LiDAR PRO models. That system pairs a 360° rotating LiDAR with a 3D time-of-flight LiDAR, and an AI camera (AIVI 3D) handles obstacle recognition. A TruEdge string trimmer is built in for edges. The US instruction manual lists the model number as MR2508C and the working capacity as 1,000 m² (1/4 acre). At 1 acre = 4,046.86 m², that is 0.247 acre, and this listing uses ECOVACS’ 1/4-acre figure.
Setup: No perimeter wire, RTK antenna, or RTK reference station. The US spec table shows “—” for RTK antenna dimension and weight and “/” for RTK IP rating. Mapping is automatic, or you drive the mower around the edge with the app’s remote control. The charging station needs strong 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi coverage and a flat, open spot, according to the manual.
In the box (US spec table): the mower with 3 blades and screws, trimmer module, trimmer line, and trimmer brush (2 pcs); charging station with a 10 m power cable, 6 fastening nails, 3 A power adapter, and Allen key; 9 spare blades and 9 screws plus a spare 3 m trimmer line; quick start guide and manual.
This is a different machine from the listed ecovacs-goat-a3000-lidar-pro, not a renamed twin. The O1000 runs on an 18 V platform, where the A3000 runs on 32 V. It has a single 8.66 in cut against the A3000’s 13 in dual discs, a 1/4-acre rating against 3/4 acre, and weighs 28.66 lb against 40.34 lb. Its slope ratings are also lower: 45% work area and 17% virtual boundary, against 50% and 20%.
Who it’s for
Owners of small suburban lawns, up to about 0.25 acre, who want edges trimmed without a string trimmer and don’t want to mount an RTK antenna. LiDAR mapping doesn’t depend on a clear view of the sky, so it suits lawns shaded by trees or buildings. Look elsewhere if the lawn is larger than 1/4 acre, if the mowing area includes slopes above 45%, or if your boundary runs along a bank steeper than 17%. That last limit is the virtual-boundary slope rating.
Standout details
- Coverage: 1,000 m² (1/4 acre), from the US instruction manual. The product page’s spec table does not list a working area. The page copy only says “small to medium lawn.”
- Navigation: The spec table lists navigation as Multiline LiDAR and obstacle avoidance as 3D ToF + AI Camera + Multiline LiDAR. ECOVACS claims 0.79 in (2 cm) mapping precision, operation in the dark, avoidance of 200+ obstacle types (including hedgehogs), and stable avoidance at 1.97 in from an obstacle.
- Slope and terrain: Maximum work-area slope 45% (24°), and tan 24° × 100 = 44.5%, which matches. Maximum virtual-boundary slope 17% (about 9.6°). The page gives 1.2 in of barrier crossing. Narrow passages must be 31.5 in / 80 cm wide (2.625 ft in the spec table, “greater than 0.8 m (2.62’)” in the manual). ECOVACS does not publish a drive type (such as AWD or RWD) for this SKU.
- Cut: 8.66 in (22 cm) cutting width, with electric height adjustment from 1.18–3.15 in (30–80 mm). The cutting motor runs at 2,250 rpm. Mowing efficiency is about 120 m²/h in Delicate mode and 180 m²/h in Efficient mode (about 1,290–1,940 ft²/h).
- TruEdge trimmer: 7.09 in trimming width, 8,500 rpm head, and 118.11 in of trimmer line. The spec table rates blade edge mowing at 3.54 in, blade cross-boundary mowing at 0 in, and trimmer mowing at “~0 in”.
- Power: 18 V lithium-ion, 5,200 mAh. 90 min mowing per charge and 70 min charging time.
- Build: 28.66 lb mower, IPX6 mower and station, and a rain sensor. Body noise is 61 dB(A) and trimmer noise 81 dB(A) (sound power; the manual gives sound pressure as 53 and 73 dB(A)). The mower measures 23.62 × 18.86 × 11.97 in without the trimmer brush.
- Connectivity: Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, according to the manual. The GOAT Cellular Module Pro that ECOVACS sells is listed only for A-series models, so this page shows no 4G option for the O1000.
Page conflicts: The cutting height is listed three ways. The spec table gives 1.18–3.15 in, the key features say 3 to 8 cm, and the manual gives 3–8 cm (1.2–3.2 in). This listing uses the spec table. The step size also conflicts: the page copy says “0.20 inches increments,” while the spec table shows “(0.43).”

Honest verdict
For a quarter-acre lawn that needs edges trimmed, this is a complete package. It maps with LiDAR, needs no RTK station or wire, is rated IPX6, and trims edges automatically. The published limits are small coverage (1/4 acre), a 17% virtual-boundary slope, an 8.66 in cut, and a trimmer that runs at 81 dB(A). On price, its sibling the listed ecovacs-goat-a2000-lidar-pro had a 1/2-acre rating and was $1,452 in ECOVACS’ US store on 30 Sep 2026, a promotional price against a $1,999.99 origin price. The listed roborock-rockneo-q1 is also rated for 1/4 acre and 45% slopes, with a $1,299 US list price in that listing, but it uses RTK + vision with a reference station in the box rather than LiDAR. The O1000’s advantages are antenna-free mapping and the edge trimmer.
