What it is
The GOAT A3000 LiDAR PRO is ECOVACS’ current US flagship robot mower. It maps the lawn with what ECOVACS calls HoloScope 360 Dual-LiDAR — a 360° rotating LiDAR plus a short-range 3D time-of-flight LiDAR — and uses an AI camera (AIVI 3D) for obstacle recognition. There is no perimeter wire and no RTK antenna in the box; the spec table leaves RTK fields blank (/ / ---).
Official US working capacity is 3,000 m² (3/4 acre). Converted at 1 acre = 4,046.86 m², that is 0.741 acres; ECOVACS’ own US figure is 3/4 acre, which is what coverageAcres uses. Model number in the US instruction manual is MR2507G.
Who it’s for
People with up to about three-quarters of an acre who want a wire-free install that still works under trees and next to buildings, where RTK sky-view is poor. The built-in TruEdge string trimmer is the reason to pick this over a blades-only LiDAR mower if you actually want automated edging along walls, fences, and hedges. Skip it if the lawn is over ~0.75 acre, if the mapped boundary itself sits on a steep bank (official virtual-boundary slope is 20%), or if you need all-wheel drive — ECOVACS does not publish a drive type for this SKU.
Standout details
- Coverage: 3,000 m² / 3/4 acre in the US instruction manual. The product page does not repeat a working-area number in the spec table; capacity is taken from that official manual.
- Navigation: Spec table navigation type is Multiline LiDAR. Obstacle avoidance is 3D ToF + AI camera + Multiline LiDAR. Marketing calls this 2 cm mapping precision and says it works in the dark. Setup is automatic mapping or app remote-control mapping; no GPS/RTK pole is required.
- Slope: Spec table maximum slope for work area 50% (27°). Maximum slope for virtual boundary 20%. The same product page still has a Key Features paragraph that says “up to 15°”; that contradicts the spec table and the later “50% (27°) slope climbing” section, so this listing uses the spec table. Barrier crossing is listed as 4 cm. The manual also says not to draw a virtual boundary on a slope over 20%, and that a narrow passage must be wider than 0.9 m (2.95 ft).
- Cut: Dual blade discs, 33 cm / 13.0 in cutting width, electric height 30–90 mm (1.18–3.54 in) in 7 steps. TruEdge trimmer: ~0 mm edge claim (lab), 18 cm (7.09 in) trimmer width, 8,500 rpm trimmer head. Cross-boundary blade mowing is listed as 0 cm; ordinary blade-to-edge mowing as 5 cm.
- Power and runtime: 32 V platform, 7,500 mAh (7.5 Ah) battery, 70 minutes charge, 160 mowing time per charge on the spec table (unit not labeled; charge time is in minutes). Mowing efficiency 250–400 m²/h depending on speed (0.4–0.7 m/s). 3,000 rpm cutting motors.
- Build: Mower 18.3 kg (40.34 lb) in the manual; product-page IP class IPX6 (station IPX4). Body noise 62 dB(A); trimmer 82 dB(A). Size excluding trimmer brush 680 × 540 × 336 mm (26.8 × 21.3 × 13.2 in).
- Connectivity: Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Cellular / GNSS are listed in the manual as purchased options; the US store sells a GOAT Cellular Module Pro separately.
- Catch on the same page: do not treat the leftover “15°” Key Features line as the slope spec.

Honest verdict
For a shaded three-quarter-acre yard, this is one of the more complete LiDAR machines on sale: dual LiDAR, no RTK pole, IPX6, and a factory string trimmer instead of “cut-to-edge” marketing alone. The limits are published, not hidden. Coverage is 3/4 acre, not an acre-class RTK mower; virtual boundaries stop at 20% even though the deck is rated 50% inside the work area; the trimmer is 82 dB(A); and 4G is an extra module. Use the spec table’s 50% / 20% figures, not the stray 15° sentence higher on the same page.
