What it is
The Raccoon 2 SE is RoboUP’s entry-level wire-free robot mower, sold on the official RoboUP US store at us.iroboup.com. This listing is the mower-only Raccoon 2 SE configuration: Shopify product 10274819146022, variant 52045493076262, SKU Raccoon2SE-RobotLawnMower (GTIN 6976332010151).
It navigates by camera. The US spec table lists positioning and navigation as vSLAM + INS (visual mapping plus an inertial sensor) and obstacle avoidance as AI camera recognition plus a bumper. RoboUP’s pitch is “No wires, no RTK, no app required for simple lawns”: no perimeter wire and no RTK reference station. The mower uses AI vision to tell lawn from non-lawn. For open lawns without clear borders, such as shared grass, RoboUP recommends optional boundary stakes placed about 40 cm (15.7 in) apart. These are ground stakes, not a wire.
This is a different machine from the listed roboup-tm01-t1200pro. The T1200Pro adds RTK, is rated for 0.37 acre and 45% slopes, and has a 1.2–2.4 in height range.
Who it’s for
Owners of small, simple lawns up to 0.15 acre whose grass is bordered by paths, beds, fences, or walls the camera can see. It suits buyers who want the lowest price for a wire-free mower and don’t want to site an RTK antenna. RoboUP says it is tested under trees and in shade, where satellite-based mowers can struggle. For lawns under 80 m² (861 sq ft) you can skip mapping, place the mower, and start it.
Skip it if the lawn is over 0.15 acre, has slopes steeper than 36% (20°), or runs into a neighbor’s grass with no visible edge and you don’t want to set out stakes. If you want straight stripes across a whole lawn, note that the FAQ says it mows in random patterns by default. It does offer systematic L-pattern mowing after mapping, and parallel lines in target areas under 80 m².
Standout details
- Coverage: Max mowing size 0.15 acre on the US spec table. The product header says “for simple, well-defined small lawns up to 0.15 acre.”
- Navigation: vSLAM + INS, with automatic or manual mapping and remote control for tricky areas. You can choose random mowing or systematic L-pattern mowing, which RoboUP says is up to 1.6x more efficient. It handles up to three zones, even when separated by stone paths or driveways.
- Slope: 20° (36%) max slope on the spec table and in the FAQ. RoboUP does not publish a drive type.
- Cut: 200 mm (7.9 in) floating cutting disc with 3 blades, and electric height adjustment from 30–80 mm (1.2–3.1 in) set in the app. Ride-on-edge cutting and manual spot cutting are included. The FAQ says it works best on grass up to 3.15 in and can travel through grass up to 4.7 in.
- Power: 5 Ah battery, about 150 min of mowing per charge (typical) and 70 min charging. It recharges automatically.
- Build: 11.5 kg (25.4 lb), IPX6, ≤56 dBA, off-road tires, lift and tilt alarm, emergency stop. Dimensions are 617 × 408 × 288 mm (24.3 × 16.1 × 11.3 in).
- Connectivity: Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz) and Bluetooth. RoboUP says the app isn’t required for simple lawns.
Page note: A promotional banner on the US page reads “The Ideal Robot Mower for Small Lawns Under €500”, which appears to be copied from a European store. This listing uses the USD price from the cart and the schema.org Offer only.

Honest verdict
For a small lawn with clear borders, this is the cheapest wire-free mower on the site: $579 on sale from $699, with no RTK pole, no wire, electric height adjustment, IPX6, and a 150-minute run time. The published limits are a 0.15-acre rating, a 36% (20°) slope, a 7.9 in cut, and camera-based boundaries that need stakes on open lawns. Against its sibling, the listed roboup-tm01-t1200pro was $799 on 7 Oct 2026 but sold out on 12 Oct 2026. At that price it costs $220 more and adds RTK, a 0.37-acre rating, and 45% slopes. The listed eufy-e15 is also camera-only, but it lists at $1,799.99 for a 0.2-acre rating. Buy the Raccoon 2 SE if the lawn really is small and bordered. Otherwise, the extra coverage and RTK on the T1200Pro is worth the step up.
