Sunseeker X7 Plus Gen 2

At $3,299 with no markdown (sold out on 16 Oct 2026), the X7 Plus Gen 2 is Sunseeker's 1.5-acre AWD mower. It has RTK + VSLAM 2.0 navigation, a 14 in dual-disc cut, 0.8–4.0 in app height, a 70% (35°) slope rating, IPX5, 60 dB(A) and 4G-GPS anti-theft included. The catches are a positioning setup the FAQ requires even though the included list shows no reference station, possible edge trimming, and no published weight.

What it is

The Sunseeker X7 Plus Gen 2 is a wire-free, all-wheel-drive robot mower sold on Sunseeker’s official US store, shopsunseekertech.com. It is the 1.5-acre model in the X7 Gen 2 family. This listing is Shopify product 15396832444733, variant 67587700293949, a single Default Title variant. The store doesn’t publish a SKU or barcode for it.

Navigation is AONavi (RTK + VSLAM 2.0). RTK satellite positioning is combined with visual mapping, so Sunseeker says the mower keeps navigating as satellite reception changes around trees and buildings. Obstacle perception is Vision AI 2.0, which uses binocular cameras plus iToF depth sensing and works day and night. Three independently driven wheels give AWD traction. Front suspension handles uneven ground, and rear active steering is meant to reduce turf scuffing in turns.

How it differs from the X7 Gen 2: Sunseeker’s own comparison shows the same navigation, drive and cutting system. The Plus raises the rated area from 0.75 to 1.5 acres, includes the 4G-GPS anti-theft module (optional on the X7 Gen 2), and adds 4G to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

In the box (from the US page’s “What’s Included” list): the mower, a charging station, a charger for the charging station, 24 spare blades, 24 spare screws, 8 nails for the charging station, a cleaning brush, a quick start guide and an instruction manual.

Who it’s for

Owners of up to 1.5 acres of mowable grass with slopes, trees or separate mowing areas. Sunseeker says to measure the grass itself and leave out buildings, driveways, pools and planting beds. The 70% (35°) AWD rating covers most hilly lots, and the zone count is unlimited.

Plan the install first. There’s no boundary wire, but the FAQ says you still have to complete mapping and a positioning setup, and place the charging station and positioning equipment where the setup guide says. The included-items list doesn’t name a separate RTK station, so check that before you buy. Location tracking, geofencing and alerts depend on activation, network coverage and Sunseeker’s service terms. Look elsewhere if your lawn is 0.75 acre or less, because the X7 Gen 2 covers that for less money.

Honest verdict

For a sloped lawn between about three-quarters of an acre and 1.5 acres, the X7 Plus Gen 2 is a strong buy at $3,299 (it was sold out on 16 Oct 2026). It’s AWD, rated for 70%, has wire-free RTK + vision, cuts 14 in, and includes 4G anti-theft. Other large-lawn listings:

The limits are the positioning setup (the page doesn’t fully explain the hardware), 4G features that depend on service terms, possible edge trimming, and a US page with no weight or run-time figures. Buy it if you have a hilly acre-plus lawn and want built-in anti-theft. Otherwise, save $700 with the X7 Gen 2.
